Tyson Fury has declared that he is ‘very optimistic’ a fight with Anthony Joshua will materialise next year.
The WBC heavyweight champion publicly called out the WBA, IBF and WBO king following his win over Kubrat Pulev on Saturday night and has now followed that up with a further interview.

Fury appeared on GMB on Monday morning and responded to reports that the bout could be put together in a two-fight deal worth $500million.
The ‘Gypsy King’ replied: “Well that doesn’t sound too bad, but then again I don’t believe anything I see in the paper.
“So yeah, we’ll see what’s gonna go on, but let’s hope this fight happens.
“I’m willing to take the fight, I don’t know if they are.
“I’ve been willing to take the fight for the last five years, it’s not happened so far but I’m very optimistic it will happen in 2021.”

When asked if he had a message for AJ, Fury replied: “Grow a pair and sign the contract, big boy.
“I’m not just saying it because he’s gonna be a rival of mine and he’s gonna be one of my opponents, but I’ve always said for a long time that I do believe Anthony Joshua’s tailor-made for somebody with my style.
“I think it’s gonna be one of the most explosive, quickest fights you’re gonna see.
“I’m aiming to take him out inside four rounds.”

Joshua’s win over Pulev fight began with a cagey opening couple of rounds as both men appeared hesitant and exchanged jabs.
It exploded into action in the third as Joshua hammered Pulev with a hard right hand and pummelled him into the ropes, prompting a count from the referee.
The challenger fought on but was once again floored, this time by a giant uppercut from the champion. Again he rose and survived the round.
Joshua was careful not to be reckless and waited until round nine to execute the finish.
Pulev found himself floored again in the ninth and got up only to be finished with a brutal right from AJ.
