PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia has successfully achieved a vaccination rate of more than 300,000 doses a day, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Prime Minister said that on Monday (July 5), a total of 313,761 doses were administered with 6,585,002 individuals having received their first dose, while another 2,735,474 individuals had completed their second dose.
Looking at this development, the government is optimistic that efforts being planned are on the right track, he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (July 6).
Muhyiddin said that when announcing the National Recovery Plan on June 15, he had set an increase in the vaccination rate to more than 300,000 doses a day beginning July.
I have also announced the National Peoples Well-Being and Economic Recovery Package (Pemulih), where the third focus in the package is to expedite the vaccination programme to as many people in Malaysia as possible, he said.
The Prime Minister also thanked and congratulated the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.
My thanks also goes to the frontliners, volunteers and all Malaysians for taking part in the vaccination programme and making it a success, said Muhyiddin.
