Manchester United captain Harry Maguire hit back at his critics after England’s memorable win over Germany.
The Three Lions progressed to the quarter-finals of the European Championship thanks to Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane, but in defence, England were equally as impressive, standing firm against Germany’s attacks – albeit with a few pulse-raising moments.
After finally returning from the sidelines against the Czech Republic, Maguire started his second consecutive game for England at Wembley on Tuesday evening and he won the Man of the Match award for his excellent performance against Germany.
After the game, though, Maguire hit out against the critics in the Premier League who scrutinise the ‘slightest’ mistakes.
