Celebrity music producer Joel Little, known mostly for his work with Lorde and Taylor Swift, has sold his music catalogue to Hipgnosis Songs Fund.
“Joel is one of the most important songwriters in the world today,” Hipgnosis founder Merck Mercuriadis said in a statement.

The collection appeared to include 178 songs with hundreds of accolades, drawing in nearly $9m in revenue over a few years however Hipgnosis didnt disclose the value of the deal. Hipgnosis said Littles songs had been streamed billions of times.
“Hipgnosis have big plans and I’m very excited to see how far they can champion the cause for all songwriters in the coming years,” Little told Reuters.

Little is considered one of New Zealands most successful songwriters, being a founding member of local band Goodnight Nurse.
Taylor Swift has worked with Kiwi songwriter Joel Little.
In 2011 he began working with a then little-known Lorde, and has since worked with Taylor Swift, Khalid and Imagine Dragons.
Hipgnosis Songs Fund is a UK company, that buys catalogues directly from artists. People can invest in the songs, the same way you can with stocks.
The 178 songs included 52 number one singles and a Grammy award-winning tune.
