SINGAPORE The Ministry of Health (MOH) on Sunday (30 May) confirmed the detection of 25 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, taking the country’s total case count to 62,028.
There are 19 cases of locally transmitted infection, said MOH in a news release. Of these, 13 are linked to past cases, out of which 11 have been placed on quarantine and two were detected through surveillance.
The remaining six local cases are unlinked. All the new cases are from the community, with no new cases found in the migrant workers’ dormitories.
There are also six imported cases, five of whom are returning Singaporeans or permanent residents. They have all been placed on Stay-Home Notice since their arrival in the country.
In its nightly update on Saturday, MOH shared details on the four unlinked cases detected earlier that day. Detected through surveillance, they were:

  • A 40 year-old female Singaporean who works as a teacher at Rosyth School
  • A 49 year-old female Singaporean who works as an executive at Eng Soon Chair & Table Hire Service
  • A 33 year-old male Malaysia national who works as a kitchen assistant at Hua Zai Eating House
  • A a 23 year-old male Malaysia national who works as a cook at West Grill Station (Anchorvale)
