LIVE Market updates: The Indian markets fluctated between gains and losses in Tuesday’s noon deals after paring their morning gains.Among the headline indices, the S&P BSE Sensex hovered around 50,400 levels and the Nifty50 index slipped below the 14,950-mark. Asian Paints (up 3%) was the top Sensex gainer, followed by UltraTech Cement (up 2%). Besides, IT stocks (Infosys, TCS, HCL Tech, and Tech Mahindra) traded over 1 per cent, each.
Among other individual stocks, Tata Communications slipped over 7 per cent as the offer for sale (OFS) to divest government’s shareholding in the company opened for institutional investors at the floor price of Rs 1,161 per share.
The Nifty sectoral indices were mixed, with Nifty IT index, up 1.3 per cent, leading the gainers.
In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices traded 3 per cent higher, each.
