Arsenal have been given a glowing transfer review for a top African striker, while Chelsea will fast-track one star’s contract talks – both in all the latest Paper Talk.
AUBAMEYANG RECOMMENDS STRIKER TO ARSENAL
Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has given Arsenal chiefs a glowing review of fellow Gabon international Aaron Boupendza, a report claims.
90min reports that the Gunners are one of several clubs keeping an eye on the Hatayspor striker amid his stunning form.
The 24-year-old sits top of the Turkish top flight’s scoring charts, having plundered 18 goals in 26 games.
However, his rise to stardom in Turkey comes after a struggle to establish himself across the continent.
Indeed, he moved from Gabon to France with Bordeaux in the summer of 2016, but spent a large chunk of his time there out on loan throughout France and Portugal.
As such, his explosion this term has reportedly caught they eye of several Premier League teams.
While Arsenal have shown interest, Tottenham, Leicester, West Ham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Wolves and Southampton all have eyes on the player.
What’s more, Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic have interest of their own.
Boupendza’s future could already have been sealed, had he completed a transfer to Krasnodar recently. Hatayspor accepted the Russian side’s £7million bid, before the striker rejected the move.
There is also interest in Turkey, with Fenerbahce supposedly keen.
But while Hatayspor accepted £7million for Boupendza recently, their demands have gone up to £8.5million amid his stellar form.
