Mick McCarthy’s return to the dugout with APOEL has come to an abrupt end.
The former Republic of Ireland boss was appointed manager of the Cypriot club in November.
But, despite signing a deal until 2022, talkSPORT understands he has been shown the door just two months into the job.

Apoel – the most successful club in Cyprus – have lost their last four games.
They are sitting 11th in the table, just one place and one point above the relegation zone.
Apoel are renowned for being ruthless with managers and are now on their lookout for their 15th different boss in five years.
